Kisumu set to host CECAFA semi finals

Kisumu Governor Anyang' Nyong'o meeting CECAFA Secretary General Nicholas Musonye and FKF president Nick Mwendwa and other officials on Satueday December 2, 2017.
Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o met CECAFA Secretary General Nicholas Musonye and FKF president Nick Mwendwa and other officials, where they discussed and confirmed Kisumu’s preparations to hold the CECAFA semi final tournament to be played on the 15th and 16 December.
 
The tournament starts Monday and Kisumu has been chosen as one of the host counties for this year’s matches.
 
The Governor welcomed and encouraged all football fans to attend the matches and cheer their favourite teams as they experience and enjoy the hospitality of Kisumu.
 
He said the County Government is committed to rehabilitate Moi stadium, remove Kachok dumpsite around it and also build a new stadium as one of his long term legacy projects in Kisumu.
 
The County government will also revive Kisumu Hot Stars which will replace Palos FC in the Nationwide league.
 
CEC for Tourism and Sports Achie Ojany and the CEC for Urban Planning Nerry Achar also attended the meeting.
