On Wednesday night three-time winners Manchester United thrashed  CSKA Moscow 4-1 to maintain their unbeaten record  with Romelu Lukaku continuing his impressive form as he went on to score twice.

Lukaku has now scored ten goals in nine games since his £75million summer move to Old Trafford from Everton.Manchester United have started the season in excellent form, winning eight of their nine matches in all competitions so far.


Strongest performance

United’s coach Jose Mourinho hailed the team saying that they played well and it was the strongest performance from the team.

“The team is solid, the team is playing well, It’s true. I came here of course with very good teams – Chelsea, Inter (Milan), Real Madrid – but I think this was the strongest performance “said Mourinho

Speaking on ITV’s Champions League highlights show Roy Keane who captained United to great success, believes they are finally ready to compete with the very best again.

Big Test Ahead

“United are back. They look like they will compete to win the big trophies,” said Keane

“The big test will be in the big games. For all top United strikers over the years, has been scoring the big goals in the big games.” Keane

In other matches played yesterday Chelsea’s MICHY Batshuayi grabbed a late  winner that saw Chelsea  2-1 win over  Atletico Madrid, while PSG had an  impressive 3-0 Champions League victory over Bayern Munich.
