Kisumu County Assembly MCAs have called for support to Kibos sugar and allied factories in Muhoroni Sub County as the latter disbursed over 11,000 litres of hand sanitizers to all the 47 MCAs in the county.

Beatrice Ochieng, a nominated MCA says they are thrilled with what is happening at the factory, which requires leadership support.

Ochieng spoke as both elected and nominated MCAs trooped to Kibos on the invitation of the company to take sanitizers for their constituents.

She says the factory is God sent for the people of Kisumu and leaders must come out to defend it from any external attacks.

She called for dialogue in case of any misunderstanding between the factory and the locals regarding the environment or employment.

South West MCA Gard Olima says the sanitizers will be handy during this festive season since they will be interacting with their electorates.

Olima says the gesture by Kibos through its Corporate Social Responsibility is aimed at cushioning the people of Kisumu from contracting COVID-19 pandemic.

Migosi MCA Victor Rodgers who was the bridge between the Assembly and the factory hailed the sugar factory for its dedicated work to help the larger community in Kisumu and its environs.

The MCAs promised to give out the sanitizers to churches, schools, boda boda bases, beaches and markets.
