All PSV in Kisumu to be fumigated

An exercise to fumigate all public transport vehicles and motor bikes has been launched in Kisumu in the wake of Corona virus.

City Manger Doris Ombara who launched the exercise on Wednesday at Posta grounds says the fumigation process will be free of charge.

Ombara urged all motorists, PSV, tuk tuks and motor bikes to report daily at Posta grounds for fumigation.

She says the exercise is good for the health of the motorists and that of the passengers at a time the world is battling Corona virus.

Besides that, Ombara says they will be giving sanitizers to all to help in disinfection of areas round them.

The hand sanitizers, she says is handy for motorists who found it difficult to mount hand washing jerricans.

Ombara sys Governor Anyang Nyong’o mobilized sanitizers that will be enough for the motorists.

She further called upon the public to obey the orders that were issued by the cabinet secretary for health Mutahi Kagwe that requires that everyone in a public place wears masks.

Ombara also announced a massive cleanup of the City Central Business District tonight.

She called upon the public to be active and look for areas that need clean up or fumigation.

Ombara gave out her number to the public 0706564516 for call up or messaging to ensure no place is left behind in the clean up exercise.
