Kisumu County Senator Fred Outa has told the county government not to forget about flood victims in the county.
Outa says with the ongoing rains and back flow of Lake Victoria, many families are suffering.
He says the county should not concentrate much of Corona virus while neglecting the people in the sub counties of Nyando, Muhoroni, Kisumu East and Nyakach who have been displaced by floods.
Outa says the county had funds in the emergency kitty that could be used to help flood victims with majority now living in camps.
Speaking to the press in Kisumu, Senator Outa says the count must move with speed to ensure vulnerable groups are cushioned as a result of the virus while flood victims too are given a lending hand.
He says for proper planning, the county must ensure they deal with the situations simultaneously to avoid any sufferings.
Outa says much emphasis should not be laid to Corona virus issues while there are untold sufferings of people who have stayed out in the cold for weeks as a result of the ongoing heavy rains pounding parts of the country.
