Homa Bay County Government’s CEC Member for Health Prof. Richard Muga led the Ministry’s officials and other health stakeholders in a meeting held at cold springs Hotel on June 12.
The stakeholders drawn from EGPAF, MSF, AHF among others convened to address health indicators in the county. Professor Muga said there is a remarkable improvement in the war against HIV/AIDS even as they strive to accomplish a HIV/AIDS born free generation.
The rate stands currently at 68% meaning for every 100 HIV/AIDS infected mothers giving birth in Homa Bay, 68 of the new born babies turn out to be virus free.
