Homa Bay County Deputy Governor Hamilton Orata held discussions with the Huduma Center secretariat to create a one-stop approach that provides citizens access to various public services and information through integrated technology platforms.
This follows a presidential directive for County governments to partner with Huduma Centers to effectively make it possible for service seekers to access it conveniently.
Orata appealed to the Huduma secretariat to create mobile outreach to register 50 elderly disadvantaged persons to NHIF from each of the 40 wards.
“The Citizen is at the heart of service delivery by government and we must therefore provide a channel to avail business opportunities through a one-stop shop,” said Orata.
He added that the county government is keen to partner with Huduma centre to devolve huduma services to sub counties in line with government vision 2030.
The county government currently has three counters at Huduma centre. These include Health, Water Services and Lands.
Both parties agreed to work towards providing an integrated platform that offers all key services under one roof.
The County Secretary, Isaiah Ogwe and CEC Member for Finance Nicholas K’Oriko were among County officials present during the meeting.
