Residents of Obunga in Kisumu have decried rise is insecurity in the area.
A resident John Okello says they are living in fear of attack by gangs roaming Obunga.
Okello says hardly a night passes without any robbery reported in the area.
He says cases of house breaking are on the rise and blamed the police for doing little.
Speaking the press in Obunga, Okello says the hideouts of the thieves are known ad questioned why he police is taking long to raid such places and make arrest.
Philip Ochieng, a trader in Obunga asked police to always comb Obunga and flush out the thugs in the area.
Ochieng says police officers only patrols along the road without penetrating the estate.
He appealed to the officer in charge of Obunga police station to ensure ptrls are intensified right to the door steps of the residents.
He says most of the robberies carried out in Obunga are done by people outside but they collude with some rogue residents of Obunga.
Another resident Steve Okello lamented about impersonation of some residents in the name of police officers yet they do surveillance and rob.
Okello says there was a reshuffling of some police officers at Obunga police station and applauded the move.
He says the new officers should now act and bring the runaway insecurity back.
