Kisumu Central MP Fred Ouda has launched a massive food distribution to his electorates targeting 8,000 families in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic. Ouda says the food will cushion the locals from effects brought about by the virus that has threatened to bring the economy of the nation to its knees. This is the second phase of help to the people after the first phase targeted 5,000 families.He says the situation across the country is worsening and as leaders they will strive to work on food ration for the people. Speaking during the launch of the food donation, Ouda says he is unable to feed every voter in the sub county noting that whatever little at his disposal will be shared out among the people. He told the people of Kisumu Central to receive the food ration in good faith,Ouda says orphans, persons living with disability; the old and the sick will be given food starting today as he promised to reach out more in the near feature. During the launch, selected women from Obunga, Nyalenda and Kaloleni were given food, of which they appreciated the effort of the area MP for coming to their rescue during this hard time. ![]() |
