KMPDU hails Kisumu hospital

Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral hospital in Kisumu has been hailed for the proper preparedness it has put in place in case of any confirmed case of COVID 19 pandemic in the area.

Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Union (KMPDU) Nyanza branch officials took a tour of the facility to see the facility preparedness.

The branch chairman Dr Kevin Osuri says as a Union they were impressed with what they witnessed in the hospital rooms.

Briefing the press after the tour, Osuri says the hospital cares for its doctors who are in the front line to examine patients who are suspected to have Corona virus symptoms.

He assured the public that doctors are ready to attend to them anytime.

Osuri says doctors have resolved to give their best in terms of treatment during this period when the pandemic has struck the nation.

He challenged the county government of Kisumu to offer incentives to the doctors.

The chairman says doctors must be given proper treatment by the employer as a motivation to their work.
