A strike is looming at the MIGORI County government offices due to delayed payment of September salaries.
Speaking to the press, County government union officials of Migori branch led by their secretary general Mr.
Peter Jaoko said if workers will not get salaries by the end of Friday no workers will be allowed to report on duty on Monday including health workers.
On his side the union Chairperson Mr Charles Opiyo said they have a clue that someone from the national treasury is out to paralyze the county operations due to high political temperature in the county .
Accordingly to our sources at the Migori county government offices said they have never experienced such that ,they have been receiving there salaries on time and this time round they are in shock.
Our Efforts to reach the county chief for comment run futile since he was barred from accessing the offices by the courts last month.
