Miwani ward residents in Muhoroni sub county are the latest to benefit from the free masks and food distribution from Ken Obura Foundation as they urge other local leaders to also join hands.
The exercise was carried out at Amilo Pri School, Olikoliero Pri School, Miwani Jua kali and Karunga evacuation center where those who have been displaced by the floods benefitted.
Former Miwani ward MCA Maurice Ondiek who led the exercise alongside the team from Ken Obura Foundation says the locals must be helped.
Ondiek says leaders must unite together and bring help to the people who are now facing difficult times as a result of the covid 19 pandemic.
Ondiek says the gesture by CAS Ken Obura is timely and will help many locals some of who cannot even afford the masks.
Locals in the area decried neglect from elected leaders adding that they must come in to help them at this time of need.
