Police manning porous borders in Isebania cracks the whip by arresting 15 Tanzanians

15 Tanzanians arrested and 35 motorbikes intercepted at Isebania border.

Following the directive that was given by president Uhuru Kenyatta to lock all entry points connecting Kenya and Tanzania, at least 15 Tanzanians were arrested while trying to sneak into the country on motorcycles via porous borders.

Over 35 mortocycles belonging to Tanzanian citizens were also intercepted by police officers manning isebania porous.

Tanzanian citizens engaged Kenya security in running battles as the police officers were trying to chase them away from the border.

It forced the police use stones to barricade the porouse borders while at other entry points they bought round poles to fence. 

Isebania OCS Alex Chepsoi and base Commander Daniel Karani who led the today operation said the officers were facing challenges in manning the porous border as there were little cooperation from the locals.
