Property worth sh1.3million destroyed by strong wind

Property worth Ksh. 1.3 million has been destroyed in North Karachuonyo ward due to strong wind which blew roofs of houses and caused death too.
According to the area MCA Paul Ongoro Wamunga, the areas that were affected were kokoth katar location, migunde and koredo locations where the roofs of a total of 13 houses were destroyed and the child killed after the house fell on him.
Addressing the press through phone, Wamunga urged both the
national and county government to declare whatever that happened as disaster so that the public are rescued since when they are left in the cold then further problems may emerge.
As a result, he appealed to the public to develop a habit of planting trees in their homes and also reaforestate homa hills being that trees help a lot in trapping rains and can also help in preventing strong winds.
