A member of the Nyanza Youth Council has condemned verbal attack on Senator Fred Outa after he raised alarm over failure by the county to rescue flood victims in the county.
James Ojijo says Senator Outa has the right to question any wrong doing in the county.
He says doing oversight is one of the responsibilities of any Senator and it is wrong to castigate Outa when he plays its role.
He told Governor Anyang Nyong’o to listen to criticism to help him restore his administration which has faced a number challenges.
Addressing a press conference in Kisumu, Ojijo says leaders must be ready to tell Government Nyong’o whenever he goes wrong.
He accused some leaders in the county of playing sycophancy when the public are missing service delivery.
Ojijo singled out some former MCAs for seeking relevancy in the Nyong’o administration by attacking Outa for his stand to question the county.
He says the people of Kisumu are in dire need of good roads, proper education for their children and health services and not sycophancy.
