Mathias Robi

A member of parliament allied to the Jubilee party has lashed out the government over sudden decrease in covid positive cases in the country.

Mathias Robi, from Kuria West has said there is no corona virus in the country and the health Ministry had in the past treated people to drama to get funding from donor agencies.

The legislator added that unscrupulous individuals had taken advantage of the outbreak in other countries to do business with the government at the expense of the country’s economy.

He said that as a government insider, the cases that were being reported were by the cabinet secretary for health Mutahi Kagwe were factual. The legislator while speaking within his constituency questioned why covid treatment camps have in the recent past discharged patients after recent media expose and eventual grilling of the officers from the Kenya  Medical Supplies Agencies (KEMSA) by the senate.

Mathias claimed that the health cabinet secretary instilled fear in Kenyans while  operating clandestine deals . The Mp now demands action to be taken on those who swindled the donor funds.

He urged president Uhuru Kenyatta to uplift the bans he had imposed including the night travel ban saying normalcy has resumed and Kenyans should be told the truth. As the Kuria community, he added, they’ll move with the deputy Ruto saying the tribulations he’s undergone within the jubilee party has confirmed to them that he is a true leader.
