|Uriri MP Mark Nyamita on Monday distributed five sanitizing booths in his constituency to help curb spread of Covid19 especially in high traffic area.|
The booths, which have thermometers to check on temperatures of beneficiaries and can be able to spray disinfect residents in large groups have been placed at Rapogi, Stella, Uriri, Sibuoche and Oyani markets and centers.
Nyamita said in a statement from Nairobi that they have picked the high traffic area for the booths to control those accessing transport and markets to get treated of mass adding that the booths are simply a walk through system that will be managed by centers leaders.
Nyamita said in addition to the booth, they also distributed 10,000 masks for those using the booths.
He said Migori county recorded seven cases of Covid19 cases which has seen tension in the area and they are out to ensure resident’s lives return to normal as they fight the virus.
William Mbeche, constituency coordinator who oversaw the distribution said most travellers in public places and those accessing centers will be key.
Samwel Ochieng, a resident of Uriri center said the booths will help sanitise larger equipments and goods especially brought from Nairobi as the center is along the busy Kisii-Migori road.
