Homa Bay Deputy Governor Hamilton Orata has exuded confidence that the county’s development plans are on course for the next five years.
 
Speaking during the public validation of the County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP 2018-2022) at a forum held in Homa Bay town, the Deputy Governor said the plan reflects the proposals and views of the people of Homa Bay and will be used to steer the development of the county.
 
“We brought back this draft to the public for review of the projects’ sustainability, validity and viability towards implementation,” said the Deputy Governor.
 
“The adoption of this second CIDP marks a significant step towards our commitment, through the stewardship of His Excellency Governor Cyprian Awiti to leave behind a legacy that the people of Homa Bay County will remember us with,” he added.
 
The third level of public participation was also attended by the County commissioner, Mr. Samson Irungu Macharia who gave his input by vowing to support the county government in maximizing revenue collection to aid a successful implementation of the CIDP.
 
The county secretary, county executive members, chief officers, sub-county administrators, private sector and representatives of the public drawn from the eight sub-counties were among stakeholders at the forum.
