#Get to know your artiste: Alfa Mars new kid in the block

This week we introduce a new entertainment segment called #Get to know your. So this week we introduce Alfa Mars, for all the shrap die hard fans will know. So he sat on the hot seat with Joe(youngest sponsor), so here’s what happened.

  1. When and why did you start taking interest in music?
  • Music has always been a part of me. Since childhood I grew up around music from my folks playing their classic music to my elder brothers bumping a lot of hip hop that feels like my entry into it.
  1. What drew you to the music industry?
  • I have always had an affinity for popular culture and anything related to it. The fact that you can have the craft to make music, and earn a living from it is captivating to me.
  1. Describe your sound.
  • It’s Matatu music. It’s urban. It’s new age. It’s ahead of its time.
  1. Who are you inspired by?
  • Anybody taking care of their family and community.
  1. Please explain your creative process
  • Different projects are as a result of different processes. I’m an artist so I go with the flow to come up with whatever content I produce. It’s very unorthodox and I go to any extreme to get inspiration.
  1. What’s an average day like for you?
  • I wake up pretty early; I say a prayer within, and embarking ahead of the curve always.

  1. What are you known for?
  • Am known as a creative guy hehe (laughs) 
  1. Is there a hidden meaning in any of your music?
  • That’s for the fans to interpret rather than me. But it can go beyond surface level of course.
  1. Do you collaborate with others? What is that process?
  • Collaborating is a fun process for me because I get to learn new stuff from other people. I grow more as an artist through such moments, and appreciate being with creatives with different strengths and instincts. We could either be together physically or virtually since it’s 2018.
  1. Please discuss how you interact with and respond to fans?
  • Through all of my social Media handles i ask my fans like what they want so i can challenge myself

  1. What is your favorite part about this line of work? Your least favorite? Why?
  • My favorite is that you get to have fun on the job and my least favorite is that everything is so commercial
  1. Have you ever dealt with performance anxiety?
  • It happens. It just depends with you reality.
  1. Tell me about your favorite performance venues?
  • my fav venues………My favorite venue to perform is Alchemist. Because the environment is well, the crowd is just great.
  1. What does the album’s title reveal, if anything, about the album’s impact and themes.
  • My dream is to play the album’s title reveal, if anything, about the album’s impact and int in my music career.

  1. What advice would you have for someone wanting to follow in your footsteps?
  • Just believe in yourself, stay informed, believe in God, and never give up.
  1. What drew you to The EP in the first place? Was marketing a factor, or was it word of mouth, or something else?mouth, or something else?
  • Initially this wasn’t in the plan but Kev Beatz the producer convinced me it was a good idea so I decide big project.
  1. Were there particular songs, or even lines, which ject is always special in itself. From the first to last line all of them are significant.
  2. What’s next after your EP?
  • Lord knows. Just stay posted though. There is no music that sounds like what we have just produced with Content EP. I am proud of this project and I hope you can enjoy it first.
