David De Gea made a huge goalkeeping mistake as Manchester United suffered a 1-0 defeat at West Ham on Sunday threatening their top four hopes.

Said Benrahma’s long-range effort in the first half should have been a routine save for the goalkeeper David De Gea but, despite getting a hand to it, he was unable to stop it from bobbling over the line.

The decision ensured Erik ten Hag’s side remained in the game but West Ham withstood late pressure to claim a deserved victory which was Moyes’ first over Manchester United since his spell in charge of the club.

Man United attempted to respond quickly, but Antony’s deflected long-range shot missed the target. As they were fortunate not to give up a penalty just before halftime when Victor Lindelof’s handball went mysteriously unpunished.

Currently Man United remain in the Fourth place with a game in hand.

The result sees the Hammers move to 37 points, easing their relegation fears in 15th place.
