AC Milan has reported that Olivier Giroud has extended his contract with the Club just a day after helping the team advance to the Champions League semifinals.
The French striker has signed a new deal, as AC Milan has officially stated on their website. According to the contract, he would remain with the Rossoneri through 2024 and get a net salary of €3.5 million.
While it appeared that he and the club desired the same thing, there has been much conjecture over whether he would extend his contract. An announcement has come later than many anticipated.
“AC Milan is happy to report that Olivier Giroud has extended his agreement with the team. Since joining AC Milan in the summer of 2021, Olivier has established himself as a key member of the Rossoneri attack line, appearing in 76 games and tallying 27 goals”, the club stated.
