Legendary American singer-songwriter CeeLo Green makes a comeback with new single Lead Me, off his upcoming album – CeeLo Green is…Thomas Callaway. With a retro-soul flavor, the song was produced by Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys. Carrying an uplifting message such as, “…one foot in front of the other, you always gotta take your time.”, Lead Me is a timely release. The single is the first release in five years by the multiple Grammy award winner who’s best known for some of the decade’s greatest hits – “Crazy” and “Forget (f*ck) You”.

In the self-titled album set for release in June 2020, CeeLo Green promises a raw glimpse into his soulful character beyond the pop-sound persona in “Forget You”. Explaining the title and the idea behind the album, CeeLo says, “I didn’t walk into the studio as the artist, CeeLo Green, going to record songs for a new album; I went in solely as myself, the writer Thomas Callaway. CeeLo Green performs the songs that Thomas Callaway writes. I’m a shaman for that old soul and it came through on this album.” Recorded live with a band, the album is a reflection of who Thomas Callaway is and a documentation of growth and evolution as is immediately evident in the new single Lead Me.
