Magoha told school principals to spare students in boarding schools by not sending them back home for school fees.

He announced that food that remained in schools were properly preserved and will help students reporting to school on Monday.

He says COVID-19 pandemic left families in dire need of funds and the government will cushion them by not sending their children back home for fees arrears for the time being.

The CS says all secondary day schools have been taken care of by the government and their students will not be affected by lack of school fees.

Magoha also touched on the face masks for learners noting that the government will give priority to learners who are from low income families.

He says the masks will be very ready in due time and identification of learners who will benefit from the masks will commence.

He says all schools will be linked to a health centre in case of any learner falling ill during the learning process.

Magoha says the government is going to observe the three classes opening on Monday and its success will allow for the opening of the schools.
