The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) Chairperson Wafula Chebukati says the four met all the requirements to seek the highest office in the country.
The four candidates include; Deputy President William Ruto of UDA, Raila Odinga of Azimio la Umoja , Prof. George Wajackhoya of Roots Party and David Wahiga Mwaure of Agano party who will battle it out for the top seat.
Safina party’s presidential candidate Jimmy Wanjigi was disqualified for failing the degree requirement with the same fate facing Walter Mong’are who earlier been cleared.
Independent candidate Muthiora Kariara who was the 2nd to appear before the commission Monday expressed his frustrations, as a result, burned his voters card in front of IEBC panel at Bomas.
Ford Asili presidential aspirant Njeru Kathangu who was the last shocked many by not appearing before the panel instead sending Isaac Oneka the Chair of the party with a letter claiming the commission had turned into a political slaughterhouse.
