
Cabinet Secretary East Africa Community and Northern Corridor Development Peter Munya has called upon county assemblies in the counties bordering East Africa states to make laws in line with EAC laws and regulations.
Munya said the assemblies must study the laws and regulations governing EAC before formulating their own laws at the county level.
He said that the assemblies must come up with laws that do not hinder the integration process in the region.
The CS said MCAs in the counties bordering the EAC states must formulate policies that further deepen integration process.
Speaking in Kisumu during a sensitization of members of the county assemblies on regional integration, Munya said county laws have the opportunity to create investment opportunities in the country.
He said that EAC have strived to harmonize laws, rules and regulations to open the region for businesses and other investments.
