NCBA Golf Series Continues at Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club

The 2023 NCBA Golf Series continues this weekend on Saturday, April 22, at the Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club.

This will be the fourth event under the series being held in Kenya, and the fourth overall in the series, following successful tournaments held at Kenya Railway Golf Club, Lake Victoria Serena Hotel Golf & Spa in Uganda, and Limuru Country Club.

At least 150 golfers are expected to take to the course to compete for slots to play at the Series’ Grand Finale later this year. The overall gross winner, men’s category, ladies’ category, and the juniors’ category winners will secure slots to play at the Grand Finale.

The latest additions to the list of qualifiers coming from the Limuru leg are; Peter Muchangi who emerged as the Overall gross winner, John Kariuki who took home the Men’s Category, Noni Wanyee who emerged top in the Ladies’ Category and Jelani Kihanya who championed the Juniors.

The NCBA Golf Series is organized by NCBA Bank in partnership with golf clubs across the country and is fully sponsored by the bank. This year’s series features 17 seniors’ qualifier events and a junior tournament to be held at Nyali Golf Club.

Speaking during the Limuru Country Club event, NCBA Group Retail Director, Tirus Mwithiga, said; “Through the NCBA Golf Series, we aim to provide an avenue for golfers to hone their skills, showcase their talent, and participate in the growth and development of the sport in Kenya. We are excited to see the level of competition and sportsmanship that this year’s series will bring, and look forward to continuing our support for the golfing community in Kenya,” he said.

Preparations for the Windsor tournament are currently in top gear with confirmation of the field ongoing.
