The NCBA Golf Series, which was launched in March of this year, is set to continue this weekend with the second leg taking place at the Limuru Country Club on Saturday, 15th April 2023.

Over 200 golfers are expected to compete in the tournament, all vying for a chance to play in the grand finale in December at Sigona Golf Club, where cash prizes will be up for grabs.

Following the first leg at Kenya Railway Golf Club last month, the top qualifiers include Kevin Mbatia, who emerged as the overall winner, Fidhelis Kimanzi, who starred among the men, and Dr. Mary Wainaina, who won the Women’s Category.

This year’s series will feature 16 senior qualifier events held across the country and a juniors’ tournament at Nyali Golf Club. The NCBA Golf Series is currently one of the most popular golf tournaments in the region, with its focus on developing young talent and providing opportunities for seasoned golfers to showcase their skills.

Speaking ahead of the tournament, NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora said; “We are thrilled to see the enthusiasm from golfers across the country for the NCBA Golf Series. The first leg at Kenya Railway Golf Club was a great success, and we are excited to continue this momentum at Limuru Country Club this weekend,” said Gachora.

“Our aim is to create a tournament that not only showcases the talent of our local golfers but also provides a fun and engaging experience for everyone involved. We believe that the NCBA Golf Series is a unique and exciting platform that will inspire the next generation of golfers and contribute to the growth of the sport in the region,” he added.
