Newly formed -The Mabadiliko Party of Kenya (MPK) has promised to drive the agenda of change from poor governance of people and introduce equity and fairness to Kenyans. The party has also assured Kenyans especially the youth and the disabled that they will target to create new opportunities and conducive environment.
The party that has so far registered over 16,000 members will be led by Party Leader Schola Kamene Nyenze who is a sister to the late former Cabinet Minister, Francis Nyenze..
Addressing the media on Thursday after the official launch at their Hurlingham new headquarters, Kamene said the party will herald a new beginning in Kenyan politics in line with the outfit’s slogan, Mwanzo Mpya (New Beginning).
Schola a former Jubilee party member said she has held several consultative meetings with Kenyans of goodwill where she engaged with countrymen from all quarters before coming up with the party launch idea.
‘We started as one people, united by the harambee spirit of togetherness to do better and to become better. However, ladies and Gentlemen,we lost focus on critical issues that must be addressed. While old issues such as poverty, hunger and ignorance are still holding us back, new challenges are setting in.”She said.
‘It is for this reason, she added, that I have joined hands with likeminded people to present to you Mabadiliko Party of Kenya,Mwanzo Mpya.I welcome you all to join us in this journey.Join the Party that is honest about transformation.”
She also said that the party is open to political alliances with other parties ahead of the 2022 General Election to ensure voices of Kenyans are heard regardless of their ethnic backgrounds.
“We shall cooperate with other like-minded people without losing our values to address issues including poverty, ignorance, unemployment, high costs of healthcare, inadequate housing and many more still holding us back as a country,” she said.
