As the Migori County joined the rest of the world in commemorating World AIDS Day, a Migori based Non-Governmental organisation called Centre for International Health, Education and Biosecurity-Kenya (CIHEB) is fronting safety for girl child between the age of 9 to 24 on safety against HIV and AIDS infection and early pregnancies.This comes in as the theme of this year’s World AIDS day is “end New HIV and AIDS infections, teenage pregnancies and gender-based violence”.Through the Nursing Officer at CIHEB Kenya, Ms. Eve Karungo, says that the organisation agenda is to ensure zero HIV and AIDS infection for the girls under the age of 24. She notes that the organisation also aims to provide girls with free safe spaces to discuss issues affecting them.She says that the organisation also champions self-sustainability of the girl child and through CIHEB, 10,000 girls have benefited in Migori County.
