Former Kisumu County Deputy Governor Ruth Odinga has warned politicians using ODM party leader Raila Odinga’s name that they have been endorsed for the coming elections.
Ruth says those politicians are a baggage to Raila and should not hoodwink voters that they are the preferred candidates.
She says Raila is busy traversing the country looking for votes while those politicians are doing nothing to help him galvanize votes.
She says there are low new voters turning out because leaders are in their comfort ones that they have been endorsed.
Speaking at her residence in Dago Kisumu West Sub County when she met women leaders on voter registration, Ruth says nobody should hang on Raila’s coat this time round.
She says leaders should run for elective post based on what they have done to the public and not endorsement from Raila.
Ruth says service delivery to the people should be key for anybody who is seeking an elective post.
She launched a women squad to hunt for new voters to come out and register during this enhanced voter registration by IEBC.
