Outgoing Migori county governor Okoth Obado and wife Hellen Obado are out to split Raila Amollo Odinga’s votes in Nyanza as Kenya heads to polls in August, says senator Ochillo Ayacko.

Ochillo said despite Obado’s wife dropping his name in bid to woe locals to vote her for Woman representative seat, they have the same agenda rooting for deputy president William Ruto.

He said, as a couple, the current Migori first family discuss the same political issues thus Hellen cannot drop husband’s name to fool Migori residents.

The senator who is also a gubernatorial candidate while speaking in Nyatike as he was campaigning for ODM’s six piece voting pattern said as Raila descends to power this year, he needs numbers in both national and county assemblies to progress.

Before party primaries, Obado was captured in a three minutes video vowing to ensure Ochillo does not succeed him in the August polls.

Obado said his People’s Democratic Party will field a candidate (John Dache Pesa) to face Ayacko on an ODM ticket.
