
Home player Peter Nyamu was peerless as curtains folded on the eighth round of Johnnie Walker Series at Limuru Country Club.
Playing off handicap 29, Nyamu fired 40 stableford points 14 and 26 on both nines. He savored beating handicap 13 club mate M Muchiri to the top position incidentally by a solitary point.
Nyamu was all smile after victory and here is what he had to say about it : “The day was good. I enjoyed my four ball. We were early birds on the course and had lots of fun. Course condition were excellent as we tried to hit the fairways a lot more and put with precision. Now that the automated irrigation is coming up, we can only hope for the best as members.”
Nyamu dropped four shots on the 467yards stroke index three par four first devoid of any birdie or par. He made a stunning comeback in the second 9 where he parred four holes in the 11th, 12th, 15th and 16th. Men’s third overall was T Njehia after he carded a total of 39, losing to Muchiri on count back.
Handicap 22 home player R Onwansa shot a total of 32 to emerge the best lady followed by R Mwebesa in 39.Staff winner was PN Kamugi on 37 and guest winner S Ogola on 40. Guest runner up was handicap 23 V Karuga on 37.
