Deputy President William Ruto accuse infotrak of cooking up the recent poll released  to favour former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s presidential bid.

Speaking during his tour of North Eastern Counties including Mandera on Wednesday, June 9, the DP argued that the infotrak had manufactured the polls which showed that his popularity was sinking.

He further said that for all the time his team has maitained there popularity and that there supporters should not be convinced by the recent polls and he assure them that his team will win in the fast round without a runoff.

“Because they are stuck, their system is stuck, deep state and their manifesto are also stuck, they have gone to manufacture opinion polls to show them the way.

“I want to tell Kenyans that we have defeated these people in every way. We have beaten them with our plan and manifesto. We shall win in the morning on August 9,” he stated.

infotrak CEO Ambitho speaking to the media said that the decreased popularity for the DP may have been partly attributed by the two presidential candidate’s choice of a running mate.

Ruto urged the residents in his eastern tour to turn out and vote in large numbers promising to ensure that they are issued ID cards on time.

The poll released revealed that Raila was leading in a majority of the counties including those in North Eastern where the DP held rallies. other places include Nyanza, Western, and Nairobi.
