Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has today received a heroic reception in kisumu where he was leading a convoy to mourn the late Kevin oliech, brother to former Harambee Stars captain Dennis oliech.
Sonko was heading to Seme to attend the burial ceremony of footballer Kevin Oliech, the brother of former Harambee Stars captain Dennis Oliech
On his way to Seme while at kisumu, his convoy was stopped by youths who happily demanded the flamboyant governor addresses them before he proceeds.
As a norm, Sonko opened the roof of his car and rose to address the crowd amid chants and ululations.

Sonko has urged kisumu residents especially the youths to support President Uhuru and ODM party leader Raila Odinga in the fight against corruption for a better and stronger Kenya and to also unify the whole country .
“Kisumu people I am happy that you have welcomed me here well, I want to urge you to continue supporting Baba and President Uhuru Kenyatta for the sake of the unity of our country,” Sonko stated
