Deputy President William Ruto has promised Mtito Andei commercial sex workers Ksh 1 Million. Ruto who on Monday, October 25 took his campaign to Mtito Andei, Makueni County popularizing his Presidential bid ahead of 2022 polls asked Mtito Andei commercial sex workers to form a sacco where he will deposit the money so that it will help them realize their dream of getting into legit business.
This comes after the sex workers appealed to the DP to speed up the ‘Hustlers Empowerment Fund’ that will enable them switch into more respectful ventures that will be of good benefit to them.
The country’s second in command further promised that he will ensure that their new venture thrives once they receive the money.
This move by the DP has brought mixed reactions to the netizens with some welcoming the move while others say that the move is ill-thought-out.
