Kenya’s household names Khaligraph Jones and Jua Cali were the headline acts at the just concluded Tusker Oktobafest party in Nakuru at the Stilt Garden this past weekend. Performing for a crowd of revelers the Nakuru fans were entertained by a host of club bangers from the two artists including “Kiasi”, “Yes bana” and “Yego” among others. Also on display was a home-grown talent from Nakuru HushBK who put on a show as well.
The Tusker Oktobafest craze continued for the third weekend in a row seeing Kenyans across the country treated to the best of Kenya’s entertainment industry grace the stage with shows in Carnivore and the Tunnel in Nairobi, Stilt Garden in Nakuru, TMT in Eldoret, Elevate in Narok and Shop 14 in Nanyuki.
The month-long cultural extravaganza is back again after a one-year hiatus to celebrate Kenyan authenticity and acknowledge the bright and bold spirit our people. The weekend parties commenced on a high with multiple performances from some of Kenya’s top acts. Nameless and Wahu at Carnivore, Khaligraph Jones in Nakuru and Mejja in Narok and Bensoul in Narok among several other acts that closing out the day.
On Sunday, it was the turn for Fena Gitu, Jua Cali to storm Nakuru with Nvirri the Storyteller, Mutoriah bringing the weekend to a climatic end with their performances at the Carnivore Grounds. Speaking on the events of the weekend, Tusker Shopper Manager, Lennox Chai mentioned the brand was determined to support the industry get back on its feet “Our agenda as KBL for Oktobafest is twofold.
We are creating the ultimate beer experiences as we take the party to the people. Secondly, and more importantly, we are supporting our partners across the value chain and entertainment industry. Bars have been hard hit the past few years; we are helping them get back to business. Our artists, MC’s have also been hard hit due the pandemic.
These shows are providing this ecosystem the opportunity to get back on its feet and we hope this impact will be felt immediately across the country,” said Chai The musical extravaganza continues this coming weekend with expected shows in Kisumu and Kisii ensuring more Kenyans around the country will get the opportunity to enjoy an authentic beer experience the Tusker way.
