The missing Silale MCA in Baringo County Nelson Lotela has been found in Nakuru where the attackers dropped him. The MCA had been reported missing on Sunday, he allegedly abducted by three unknown people at around 4 pm at Nginyang river in Tiaty sub-county. “He was forced out of his car near Nginyang bridge before being ordered into another black double cabin vehicle with hidden registration number which sped off towards Nakuru.” a witness told the Star.
On Monday members of the public discovered the MCA and took him Kabarak University Hospital where he is receiving treatment. “He was brought in at around 8 am by good Samaritans, he was found at a maize plantation near Rongai, he looked weak and complained of pain in the neck and looked fatigued. He has not had any meal or taken water but we are yet to establish if he has any tissue injuries,” explained a doctor at Kabarak University Health Center.
Speaking from his hospital bed, the Silale MCA stated that the attackers had earlier parked their car adjacent to his own vehicle. All along he thought the nearby car is owned by a random contractor in the town where he had spent most of his Sunday afternoons. ” I tried to resist them but one of them hit me on the head with a gun. I lay down, they blindfolded me and put me in a car and drove off immediately,” he recalled.
