American talk Show media Personality Oprah Winfrey is expected to jet in the country for a one day visit on July the 16th.
Oprah is confirmed to accompany the Former US president Barrack Obama with also other 350 famous guests and celebrities.
Oprah together with Mr. Obama will not only pay a courtesy visit to President Uhuru Kenyatta but also opposition leader Raila Odinga before they head out to Siaya County.
The Former Us Presidents’ short visit will see him and his guests attend the launch of Sauti Kuu, his half-sister Dr Auma Obama’s NGO in K’Ogelo – his father’s place of birth.
The two will also attend a charity golf tournament in Muthaiga to raise funds for the Sauti Kuu Foundation.
The team accompanying the Obama are said to be a group of professionals, philanthropists, clergy, activists, top lawyers, businessmen, diplomats and friends to the Obama family.
Sauti Kuu’s goal is to create a platform for disadvantaged children and young people worldwide that allows them to uncover their strengths and realize their full potential to live independent successful lives.
From their website, the Foundation’s aim is to help children and young people, in particular those from rural communities and urban slums, to discover the strength of their own voices and the power they have to positively change their lives.
