Olympic Champion Usain Bolt has been in good form as a footballer but according to World Cup Winner Coach Vicente Del Bosque has said that bolt has a good chance as playing in defence.
Bolt who is embarking on a new path after receiving a huge success on his athletics career has now settled with the Australia’s Central Coast Mariners. The Jamaican sprinter made his official debut while appearing in a friendly for Central Coast Select XI while coming off the bench to play.
This however made Former Spain National Team Coach Vicente Del Bosque to suggest that bolt to be put as a full- back so he can have space to move for his pace. He Said, “With space he can be a great footballer. He can be a full-back that covers a lot of space. It’s about doing it many times over and that requires stamina which I don’t know whether he has or not, although I’m sure he has prepared”.
Bolt has being aiming to make up for lost time with Del Bosque suggesting that the Olympic Champion needs to focus on the technical aspect of the game.
“To start playing professional footballer at the age of 32 isn’t normal. It’s difficult because despite being in peak physical condition, I believe that the technical part is the fundamental part of football. A player’s fantastic conditioning – being fast, agile, powerful-should support the technical ability,” Former Spain National team Boss said.
