Gor Mahia captain Haron Shakava has challenged the club’s new signing to be aware of the pressure that comes with playing for the Kenyan champions.
Gor Mahia have signed three players-Zoo FC Nicholas Kipurui, Shafik Batambuze from Singinda United while Kenneth Muguna rejoined the side from FK Tirana.
While Muguna have both the experience of playing both in KPL and at Gor Mahia, Shakava, however, said that the rest of the new catch should brace themselves for a new life of pressure at K’Ogalo.
“I want to welcome the new players. They are good players whom I think will help the club. I hope they will cope with the high pressure of playing at Gor Mahia because our fans are too demanding,” Shakava told sources.
Shakava, who took over the captain’s armband from Musa Mohammed, said that K’Ogalo’s target next season will be to better their performance in the Caf Champions League besides retaining the KPL title.
