On Tuesday  Labour Day AFC Leopards will be facing their premier league arch rivals Gor Mahia at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru county.

The Mashemeji Derby dubbed “Hull City Challenge” will see the winner get a chance to play English Premier League (EPL) side Hull City in an international friendly on May 13 in Kasarani sponsored by SportPesa betting Company.

The last time the two sides met was early this year during the Sportpesa Super Cup where Gor Mahia humbled their arch rivals by a solitary goal scored by defender Harun Shakava.

Newly appointed AFC Leopards Argentine coach Rodolfo Zapata is expected to make his debut as they face their arch rivals this afternoon.Addressing the media at a past briefing the coach  was optimistic in that his team was headed the right way despite his team being seven points behind leaders Gor Mahia with two more matches played.

“The league is still open and step by step, we need to continue working hard because I believe we are in the right way. We need to correct some details, improve in a lot of aspects going forward”said Zapata

Gor Mahia’s coach Dylan Kerr expects an uphill task ,and looks forward to extend his unbeaten run when facing his rivals after  having won the past two matches and drawn one.

“Our task is enormous, in the league and in the CAF Cup, and now we have the Hull City Challenge. So will you let it go? No! You just fight like that fighter whose ways are only winning. Fans will be expecting a win from us, because everyone expects the KPL champion to do better ” Said Kerr
