County Delegation from both Kericho and Nandi Counties lead by their respective Deputy Governors on May 7, 2018 paid a courtesy call to the LREB Secretariat where they were received by the LREB CEO Mr Abala Wanga who brought them to speed about the Bloc’s progress.
Nandi D.G H.E Proff Yulita Mitei lauded the secretariat for the good job and expressed her counties interest especially in the Agriculture Pillar and assured her countie’s commitment in totality towards the realization of the LREB grandiose vision.
Her sentiments was also echoed by Kericho County Deputy Governor Susan Kikwai who noted the significance of such amalgamation stating that it will go along way towards easing the cross border conflicts along the border areas and also leveraging the economies of scale.
On his part, Mr Abala Wanga stressed the need for all the member counties forming the bloc to work harmoniously irrespective of the party affiliation noting that it’s the only way to ensure that this amalgamation stands the test of time.
This visit which came barely 3 day after LREB held its 2nd Council meeting is a clear prelude the Bloc’s commitment towards fulfilling it’s mandate.
