Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang Nyong’o on May 14, held bilateral talks with the Indian High Commissioner to Kenya Mrs Suchitra Durai in Nairobi to enhance mutual cooperation in Agriculture, Maritime and Innovation sectors.
During the talks, the High Commissioner pledged to support the governor’s plan to establish Kisumu County Business Incubation and Innovation Centre to provide institutional support for scouting, spawning, sustaining and scaling up grassroots innovations in the county.
The Governor said the Indian government will also help the county government of Kisumu remove the water hyacinth in Lake Victoria as the Governor promised in his campaign manifesto.
