
Following last week’s incident at Hotel Boulevard where Nairobi Central Business District Association (NCBDA) chairman Timothy Muriuki was roughed up by a group of unknown men while addressing the media,EALA MP Simon mbugua has been arrested.
Mr Timothy Muriuki had called the press conference last week on 30th April to highlight the challenges business people in Nairobi are facing.A group of men stormed the venue and assaulted him forcing him out of the hotel where they later followed him.
The video where the 5 men were seen harassing the NCBDA chairman went viral with the police placed a Ksh.500,000 bounty on each of the five suspects .So far no arrest have been made.
The EALA MP was grilled by police on Tuesday afternoon, Central Police Station boss Robinson Mboloi said that they are in the early stages of their investigations.
