Youths have been urged to take advantage of the government policy that 30 per cent of government tenders must awarded to the youth, women and people with disabilities.
According to a youth leader in Kisumu county, Mr. Sospeter Obungu Owich, youth in Kisumu County should now start the necessary preparation for tender applications as they wait for the next financial year.
Mr. Obungu echoed that as the youth leader in Kisumu he will ensure that all the job opportunities in Kisumu County are awarded mainly to youth from Kisumu County as a way of curbing unemployment among the youth.
His sentiments were echoed by a representative from Kenya Young Democrats Mr. Juma orengo who said that so far the youth from Kisumu county are given job opportunities in different places within the county.
